I'm just now getting around to reading some of your posts.

Thank you for the information concerning the legal action taken by Benny and Bjorn of ABBA.

As I'm sure you can imagine, things like this never get posted on the ABBA website! From what I understand, Benny and Bjorn sue quite a bit...very protective of all things ABBA. Guess I can't blame them, but...

I had also forgotten about Agnetha's birthday! YIKES! How can I call myself ABBAGOD?? I'm getting OLD!

...Chris Tucker was arrested Sunday for reckless driving and fleeing when police in Warren County, Georgia, tried to pull him over for going 109 mph on Interstate 20, according to the Smoking Gun Web site. The actor, driving a 2005 Bentley, reportedly did not immediately stop for authorities

...Justin Hawkins is nursing broken ribs and torn leg muscles after falling off a giant donut. The Darkness singer was injured while on holiday in Dubai reports The Sun.
He was on the donut attached to a speed boat when the accident happened.

...Some rare footage of the Beatles' visit to the South West has been unearthed in the BBC library in Plymouth.
The film of them at Plymouth Hoe in 1967, as part of the "Magical Mystery Tour", was found during a transfer of old film reel onto digital format.
It is part of the uncut original film - much of it unseen for nearly 40 years.
Last October, film of the Fab Four during a visit to the region in 1964 was found wrongly stored in the sports section of the South West Film Archive.
Images of the Beatles in the region are rare, but local historian and Beatles fan Chris Robinson, found one picture and produced a poster of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr sitting on Plymouth Hoe.
Mr Robinson said: "It's so obviously Plymouth Hoe, with Smeaton's Tower in the background and the 'wow' factor of the four of them in one place that you can say 'I know where that is'."

...Today the House Of Representatives approved the Family Entertainment and Copyright Act of 2005 today, legislation that will greatly increase the penalties for bootlegging music and films. The bill bans the act of sharing a song online before it has been released, or sharing a movie before its video release, with a maximum penalty of up to five years in jail and a $250,000 fine.

...Former TUFF bassist Danny Wilder has died of a suspected heroin overdose, according to a posting at Metal Sludge (which is headed up by Wilder's former TUFF bandmate Stevie Rachelle). Danny "had finished another rehab stint and was in the process of cleaning up his life when he decided to dabble again," the posting adds. "It cost him his life."

...New Order will make their first U.S. television appearance ever when they perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live on ABC next Wednesday, April 27

...Kelly Osbourne has announced details of a show in London.
She will perform her new single, One Word, at a mini-gig at London's Astoria on Saturday, May 7.
The 20-year-old will perform the song at the G-A-Y nightclub where she previously appeared three years ago to preview her cover of Madonna's Papa Don't Preach backed by three drag queens.
The song is released by Sanctuary Records on May 9.
Kelly has described the music on her upcoming second album, Sleeping In The Nothing, due on May 23 as "dance, 80s pop."

...A judge on Wednesday reduced the charge that a jury is considering against the son of the guitarist for the rock group, RUSH.
Justin Zivojinovich is now charged with a misdemeanor - resisting arrest without violence - instead of a felony.

...After the Black Eyed Peas release Monkey Business on June 7 and complete their tour behind it, the group will split off and work on solo records. "Fergie has her record, I have a Spanish record coming out and Apl has a Pilipino record coming out," Taboo said. "We decided to branch out and show the world that we as individuals could represent our own styles." Members of the group are also interested in pursuing acting and producing, but Taboo insisted the Peas will continue to make music together.

...In case you were wondering what Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey would do to follow up their holiday-themed variety special, wonder no more. The no-longer newlyweds are shooting their performance this week at Rammstein Air Force Base in Germany for "Nick and Jessica's Tour of Duty," which will air May 24 on ABC

...An upcoming book alleges Beatles manager Brian Epstein had a homosexual affair with one of the Fab Four. The book, There's a Beatle in My Closet, is being written by Epstein's former assistant, Joanne Peterson. In a stroke of marketing genius, which is sure to be shattered once advance copies are sent out, Peterson won't reveal exactly which Beatle the manager "went backstage with" outside the book's pages. Because of the chummy relationship between Epstein, who died of an overdose in 1967, and John Lennon, most Beatles-watchers are betting Epstein knew John about as well as Yoko did.

...Courtney Love has apologized to (former Guns N' Roses, now Velvet Revolver) bassist Duff McKagan on behalf of Kurt Cobain, who publicily blasted Guns N' Roses in the early 1990s.
McKagan brushed off the apology, saying there was nothing to apologize for, "that's rock 'n' roll."

...A new bill called the "Family Entertainment and Copyright Act of 2005" is near being passed that would imprison pre-release 'file pirates' for up to three years. The bill is meant to sentence distributors of prerelease copies of films, songs, or other works.
